Thanks guys. After sending the message I finally found the boxes to tick under Options/Display, so all is well. However I think there should be a bit more explanation of the meaning of Label Scale and Label Font Size, especially the former. If these are not set properly the user will still not see the labels unless he tries a lot of different options.
